Porcelain Laminates (veneers)

These offer a life-like finish to the tooth. These are mainly used for discoloured teeth, especially for the front/anterior teeth, fractured teeth and to the teeth which are slightly crooked and to laminate the rootcanal treated front teeth. The advantage of this technique is onlya little amount of the tooth is trimmed unlike for crowns or caps.It is a two sitting treatment. In the first sitting, trimming work and measurements are taken. The models are sent to the the dental labs to fabricate the veneers. In the second siiting the veneers are plced on the trimmed teeth surfaces and cemented with appropriate cement.

Different types of crowns are available.

Ceramic crowns are slightly expensive, but cosmetically very good and long lasting because it almost matches with the strength of the tooth.
